About the Art
General Statement
The one theme that runs constant throughout my work is "balance". In my life and work I strive to achieve this. I seek:
to build-up rather than tear down.
to give rather than take.
to go out on a limb rather than crave security.
The
Vanishing paintings reflect a more somber view of our decaying (world) culture.
The
Anewmals drawings take us to a new (order of the) world "Annuit Coeptis"
The
Biology drawings give a miroscopic internal look at our physe and DNA.
Having lived in NYC for over 20 years, I believe the abstract symbol paintings comment on this fast-paced, visually bombarded, information-driven world. Who are we? There are 6 billion people on Earth, each different but together are one. The answer is in the mystery of everything.
